Social Media Director - Full-time
We are looking for a passionate social media director who shares the Forward Party values and is ready to help build a movement through smart, fact-based, fun and interactive messaging..

Requirements:
Experience managing multiple social media channels and adapting messages to the appropriate format and voice for each audience
Strong attention to detail and proofreading
Experience using social media analytics to gauge progress
Experience working collaboratively to develop strategy and content
Experience running a moderation team
Some design experience - enough to put together professional-looking posts
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with team leaders to develop the right message for diverse audiences
Using site analytics, report back to the Communications team on the engagement and impact of content across platforms
Maintain multiple social media accounts and develop a strategy for growing followers, delivering visitors to our website, and drawing interest in volunteer opportunities
Stay up to date on emerging events and initiatives within the organization.
Communicate with the creative team when you see the need for visual content to enhance copy
Engage with volunteers as needed
Revise content from one platform to another to match the unique voice of each audience
Adhere to legal standards of communication and exercise good judgment, knowing when you should seek approval for content, and when you can be more spontaneous
Respond to comments as appropriate, but also know when it is better not to respond
Proactively identify upcoming opportunities to engage with different communities based on holidays, news stories, and similar events, and create a strategy for promoting Forward Party around them
